How to Store and Handle STARTECT®.

  • STARTECT is available in a 5-litre plastic backpack and 15-litre plastic drum with dispensing tap
  • Store below 30oC
  • Protect from direct sunlight
  • Contents should be used within 9 months after opening
  • Shake container before use
  • STARTECT has a long shelf life of 24 months, always check product expiration date


OPERATOR WARNING
STARTECT may be harmful if swallowed by humans, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Avoid ingestion, inhalation and skin contact. Wash hands after use.

FIRST AID
If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. If splashed in eyes, wash out immediately with water. For advice, contact the National Poisons Centre (0800 POISON or 0800 764 766) or a doctor, immediately. Additional information is in the Material Safety Data Sheet.

DISPOSAL
Preferably dispose of product by approved use.
STARTECT is part of the Agrecovery recycling program; please dispose of containers responsibly. Otherwise dispose of product and packaging at an approved landfill, or other approved facility. Avoid contamination of any water supply with product or empty container.

SPILLAGE
Wear appropriate protective clothing and prevent material from entering waterways. Absorb spills with inert material and place in waste containers. Sweep up solids without creating dust. Wash area with water and absorb with further inert material. Dispose of waste safely.

ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY
The abamectin in STARTECT is toxic to aquatic organisms and terrestrial invertebrates, and is harmful to the soil environment.
